That Hoa manages to capture both the look and sound of a Studio Ghibli film without any direct involvement from Japan’s illustrious animation house speaks volumes about what Skrollcat Studio have achieved here. The underlying story isn’t quite up there with your Princess Mononokes, Totoros or Spirited Aways, perhaps, but this sweet-tempered tale about returning home, reuniting with old friends and the healing power of nature is still very worth jumping into for an evening’s worth of entertainment - especially if you’re after a non-violent game you can play with your kids....

For Scarlett, this means mowing down scumbags in classic turn-based fashion with a bunch of other friendly competitors she’s teamed up with, but this is far from a straightforward XCOM-like. On Sunday night, reverse-engineering enthusiast Ighor July blasted a blog post about having a rummage in GeForce Now to download a list of 18,000-odd entries in the database of Nvidia’s cloud gaming service: applications as well as games, and with many duplicates. SteamDB creator Pavel Djundik then helpfully posted a list with a subset of the games. Along with a mention of God Of War on Steam, it lists Returnal and Demon’s Souls (without specifying Steam), as well as many games which haven’t been formally announced (though some are rumoured), including Titanfall 3, XCOM 3, Gears 6, Dragon’s Dogma 2, Crysis 4, and remasters of Grand Theft Auto 3, Vice City, and San Andreas....

The general consensus on God Of War is that it’s excellent, and so is its PC port. It currently has overwhelmingly positive reviews on Steam, James was impressed by both its bells and its whistles, and Alice is a big fan of its giant everything. James’ look at the port will breakdown the best settings to use when you play. God Of War’s PC port has an impressive list of features, including basics like an uncapped framerate, but also ultrawide support and Nvidia DLSS....

Hunt victor La Frite David, per Twitter, shared a screenshot of an Intel confirmation message that listed the approximate retail value (ARV) of their prize bundle. In David’s case this comprises a “Performance” Intel Arc graphics card, some Arc merch and three months of PC Game Pass, with an ARV of $700. Subtracting the value of the Game Pass access leaves $655, so you can probably expect this “Performance” model to land somewhere in the $600-$650 range, depending on how much the miscellaneous merchandise is worth....

Simthusiasts like myself have been quietly aware of Paralives for a small while now, mostly because of the very cool nature of the in-progress video clips that surface on a fairly regular basis.
